2001 Regular Session

Senate Bill 442

AN ACT CONCERNING THE AVAILABILITY OF HEALTH INSURANCE THROUGH THE HUSKY PLAN.

Did not become law. It stopped in the Senate's Appropriations Committee on June 5, 2001. The 2001 session has ended.

What it does

The synopsis the General Assembly published with the bill.

To recognize the importance of guardians in the foster care system, with the payment rate based on the Department of Agriculture's calculation of the cost to raise a child, and to address the disparity that now exists between the temporary family assistance grant and foster care subsidized guardianship which now creates an incentive to place children in the foster system unnecessarily and places an economic burden on relative caregivers.
