House Bill 5671

AN ACT PROVIDING FUNDS FOR IMPROVING COMMUNICATIONS AMONG FIRST RESPONDERS.

Did not become law. It stopped in the House of Representatives's Public Safety and Security Committee on January 22, 2003. The 2003 session has ended.

What it does

The synopsis the General Assembly published with the bill.

To provide state funding for improvements to communication systems such as radio equipment for interdepartmental communications. Such communications have proven to be a vital resource for first responders to an emergency situation. State funding to upgrade communications systems among first responders would increase the safety of those involved in an incident, the first responders and the general public.
