The synopsis the General Assembly published with the bill.

To improve real estate conveyancing practice by authorizing town clerks to record a certified copy of a deed or other instrument affecting real property, the original of which has been recorded in the wrong town or only one of the towns in which the property is located, by providing statutory forms of acknowledgement for limited liability companies and registered limited liability partnerships, by clarifying certain voting requirements in the Common Interest Ownership Act relative to changes to the use of or the boundaries between units and common elements, by providing a modest increase in the maximum expenditure for repairs, alterations and improvements to the mortgaged premises that a mortgage lender may add to the mortgage debt, by providing that a release or assignment of a mortgage operates to release or assign after-acquired title to the mortgage, and by providing a mechanism for recording a notice of contract, in lieu of recording the contract, to meet statutory requirements for a purchaser's lien.
