2007 Regular Session
Senate Bill 373
AN ACT CONCERNING RELOCATION OF A MEDICAID CERTIFIED NURSING FACILITY.
What it does
The synopsis the General Assembly published with the bill.
To permit relocation of a Medicaid certified nursing facility within a municipality or to another municipality located within a fifteen-mile radius of such facility, provided the facility reduces the number of beds, the Department of Social Services determines that the relocation will not adversely affect bed need, and that the relocated facility will develop either a continuing care retirement community, at one location, or other complementary independent living and community-based health care services at a second location intended to avoid or delay the placement of the elderly in nursing facilities, consistent with the Connecticut State Plan on Aging.
